Oh, no. Gone and done it. Picking up my shiney new Daytona 675 Limited Ed in a week or so!!!

Not quite in time for Donnington on the 16th (anyone else here going?) unfortunately, but excited like a wee boy, nonetheless.

The Alps this year's gonna hurt, in the very best way!!

Well, delivery is pronto, as i went for the 2007 LE, not the 2008 SE and saved myself muchos.

Called the dealer today - Onyertriumph and it looks like i may be able to pick up on the 15th - and so on to Donnington.

It will be, also, my first track day... Hmm, how to run in a bike....

Not my bike, but identical:

Mine will have a fat Scots hieffer on it (me).

I test drove one last year

I thought it was a helluva bike. Once the finances are sorted out, this will figure towards the top of the shopping list.

Enjoy it mate

5ft 9.687 inches. Ideal design size for 675. That's what the guy in the shop said, anyhoo.

Starting to wish i hadn't...

Every single insurance/finance etc person i've talked to on the phone has been an utter cretin. No big issues, just uninterested, offhand people. One of the insurers went through the whole process, took money off my account, then asked when my current policy on my Hornet expires: One day after my new one on the 675 starts, by coincidence. Turns out my no-claims is on the bike, not me, so the policies cannot run together, or something. So i ask her what the solution is? "I don't know" she says. Oh, ok...err...well have a think about what we can do, bearing in mind you've just taken 250 quid from me, and call me back. "That's not in my job description". No shit, word for word.

My bank of 15 years just tried to stiff me for 200 quid to extend an overdraught for a month - if i had asked for just £1 less, it would have been free. They neglected to mention this, "we don't know your circumstances, sir". Hmmm, yes you bloody do, you send me them in an envelope monthly. Buggers.

So, my next purchase? Balaclave, AK-47, etc..
