Is that right that the thieving conning goverment of ours is proposing to raise the road fund license again, the cars that are now £35 will rise to over a £100 and the higher band cars to over £300?

Wouldn't be surprised.
Government lowers road tax for low-CO2 cars, people buy them, government then raises the tax. Similar situation with the rumoured U-turn regarding no congestion cars for cars with emissions < 120g/km.
The £300 top rate is going up to £400 some time, don't remember when.

When will they learn, if they scraped road tax, and taxed fuel, they would earn more

Higher band cars from what I can gather will go up to £400 soon. Also from 1st April 2008 they have raised the Frist Registration Fee to £55, and it will increase again on 1st April 2009 but as yet do not know by how much.

why would they need to scrap road tax when they already tax fuel?
