SE v M Sport

Given the same specs what sort of price difference would there be between an SE and an M Sport 335 after 4 or 5 years? I prefer the looks of the M Sport but the 19" wheels of the SE look much better to me. I'm not really struck on the colours that the M Sport comes in, can't see why BMW do such a limited range.

I probably will end up buying an SE but if the residuals of the M Sport are going to be significantly different I may have to rethink.

On the 335d Coupe (not sure about saloon) you get Msport seats and suspension anyhow, so it is just visual and wheels..

Not a 3 series but I had the same dilemma and went for SE purely because the range of colours is so limited in M Sport. The residuals of the M Sport are likely to be much better; go and have a look at 3 or 4 year old E46's on autotrader and you will see what I mean.

Standard wheels on both the SE and M sport are 18", the 19"s are upgrades and cost more £'s.
I would expect the M sport to hold their value more then SE's

The E92 looks gorgeous in SE spec with the 19" 230s.





You could always get an M-sport and stick the 230s on there.

It has to be 19"s whether its an M Sport or not. DXB I get what you are saying about putting the SE wheels on the M Sport but because I am buying tax free I can only go through one dealer, based in London. They will only supply cars as per the brochure, I already asked about the possibility of getting an M Sport in Space Grey. The other option would be to spec the smaller wheels and then pay for a set of 19"s myself but they want ridiculous amounts for this.

Seeing as I am going to be keeping the car for the foreseeable future due to leaving Germany next year I think I am going to go for the SE in a colour I like and take the hit on resale value in the future.
