Tiny bit of help would be great !
Discussion
If anyone in Surrey with a Murcielago or Gallardo has got a spare 30 mins or so, I'm trying to figure out how to attatch a microphone to its arse:
a: Without damaging the car
b: Without damaging the microphone
c: Will it actually record anything without distorting to high heaven !
Don't need to go anywhere, just want to see how difficult its going to be and if it will work at all.
I recently bought some HD camera gear and plan to do mini profile vids on various cars (5-10mins), and I'd like to make sure that I can record the noisy end properly.

You can reach me at:

Well thought I may as well show some kit off, I'm still looking for someone kind enough to let me see if it will work.
Doesn't HAVE to be one of those Lambo's, just something mid engined and very loud.
Sorry about all the links but I can't figure out how to thumbnail them so you can see what you're clicking on, unfortunately its not porn.

Right so what the hell is all of it ?
Canon HV20 - Full HD Progressive shooting (1080p)
Cinevate package - (Transforms it into a 35mm lens camera)

Lenses:
24mm f2.8
28-105mm
50mm f1.4
105mm f2.8 Micro AIS

+ an assortment of accessories.
I spent around £3500.
Basically this setup is modular.
I can use the camera without all the Brevis gear loaded onto it for incar shots, or if I want to walk/run around I have a Glidecam 2000 pro for steady moving shots:

The best thing about this set up is that I can still use my main camera for fun stuff but if I buy another HD camera this will work with the new one too !
All I would need to buy is a step up ring to allow the use of the Brevis on another camera.

You don't have to have it with the matte box attached, its light enough to pick up and shoot hand held as well.
Why did I want 35mm lenses on my camera ?
This allows for a huge flexibility and range of shots, looks and feels. It adds a completely filmic look to my shots, and is very similar to shooting on film but without all of the hastle.
Why I chose the Canon HV20.
1080p shooting (well I wont get into all the technical hurdles you need to jump when getting that to work but it does).
Progressive shooting, once again this is more film-like.
Hot shoe - Can attach different microphones.
Affordable.
Yes there are new cameras coming out nearly every month but until you start doing some technical digging you'll find most of them are crap - unless in perfect lighting conditions.
I had around £3500 to spend but I didn't own tripods, batteries, cases ect all that kind of that you do end up needing when shooting. So I needed an entire package.
This was my shortlist of cameras at the time (winter 07):
Sony HVR-V1 (£££££ the price is the issue here but the camera is perfect)
Canon XH A1 (high contender)
Sony HDR-FX7E (great camera but no progressive mode)
Sony HVR-A1P (only 1 cmos chip, but great price)
Canon HV20
Canon HG10 (cheap n cheerful - not so good for 'proper' work)
So my thinking was that with the more expensive camera I would have less kit overall, and that bothered me.
Anyway, feel free to ask any questions if need be.
But this is what I'll be shooting car vids this year with & commercial work.
So pppplllleeeeeeaaaaaassssseeeeee can someone let me try and record their car so I can see how well its going to work.
(Naturally if you actually want me to film the car at some point in the near future I would love to.)
