COD4 Online Multiplayer - PC vs. PS3 - Is it possible?

My boss has got a PS3 with COD4, and I've got it on the PC, so I'm wondering if there is any way to play multiplayer online with each other?

I've got some punkbuster issues with my copy of COD4 right now (legal version), so I need to sort that out first, but once sorted is inter-platform play possible?

I heard it's possible however to place with a keyboard and mouse on the PS3. Not sure about the Xbox but I'm positive you can plug in a USB keyboard and mouse to a PS3 and even a PS2.....(or am I wrong??)

Nope you can. Most games don't support USB mouse/keyboard so you need an adapter to plug a PS2 controller into the USB then another converter to plug a standard PS2 (PC plug) into that. I used to use one on my PS2 and it does work, although it doesn't feel as good as a PC setup. The movements are a little bit jerky and laggy due to the PC controls not being analogue. It does work though.

Unreal Tournament will be the first game on the Pussthree that will let you use a USB mouse and keyboard to play.

XFPS Sniper 3.0 is your friend for mouse and keyboard. You still won't be able to play vs PC though.

Unreal tournament was meant to be cross platform between PS3 and PC but didn't make it into the final game. Devs now say this will come in a patch but we shall see.

The frag FX is a decent halfway house controller if you like keyboard and mouse style controls on a console.

Allowing PS3 user to use a keyboard and mouse seems a stupid idea. They will have such an advantage over the controller users that it will be pointless. Thank god Xbox havnt looked into this idea.

I wished they would do it on 360 actually, but yeah the advantage it gives would be unfair, perhaps it could be an option when searching for games (e.g. choose games with or without other mouse users).

I think mixing ps3 -> pc users shouldn't be much of a headache, Sony's online service doesn't really support matchmaking like the 360 does so it's up to the developer to implement. On the 360 bridging between XBLive and the rest of the internet is almost certainly a no-no.

Xbox360 vs PC is actually a possibility since MS are bringing their LIVE service to PC users.

Don't know if it will happen, but that fact makes it more likely.

Huxley is supposed to support it when it arrives and Shadowrun has been doing it for ages.
