I'm trying to book a hotel in Brighton for a mate's wedding and all the hotels + B&B's are demanding we book 2 nights minimum?

What on earth is that about?

There, I've done a pointless rant but at least it wasn't about HATO's muslims or burglars...

I remember booking into a motel in the US once (Arizona). They asked how many hours I'd like the room for scratchchin

There's a Travelodge opposite Preston Park which was lovely if you're on a budget...

Not on a budget as such, it's just that being forced to pay for two nights makes it more expensive than a taxi home (40 miles).

If there is a conference on or something similar, the Hotel probably knows that it will get people wanting to stay for more than 1 night and therefore make more revenue and puts the 2 night minimum in place - standard industry practice in all but budget hotels (e.g. Travelodge and Premier Travel Inn - both of which should be fine and there is a PTI in Brighton city centre)

Even more annoying, it appears that an event is on. The Metropole has closed arrivals for that day.

And the important event is.......

X-Factor. banghead according to Google anyhow.

Bit late to the party - but we stayed in the Ramada recently. I think its one of the best hotels in brighton . Would highly recommend it if anyone is heading to Brighton soon.
