Pictures of new Custom Aluminum Splitter
Discussion
Thought I would share pictures of a custom splitter we made here locally in Denver NC. I had custom welded helicoils in brackets which were fiberglassed under the front clip. In all, there are 19 bolts. The splitter protrudes 4 inches and is made from 1/8 inch aluminum which is primed and painted flat black. I think it came out great! I purchased my car from builder AllenGTR BTW, and have highly modified the car including building a high performance Chevy 401 with 560hp, added custom sway bar, race pads, adjustable brake bias valve, longer 4th and 5th gears in G50, side cable shifter, CCW wheels 285 in front, 335 rear, modification to front clip and wheel well to provide clearance for wheels. The car is now phenominal, and I am loving every minute with it.
And I just realized I can't find the upload button to add the pictures. How do I do it??

Yes, I purchased my GTR from Allen H originally of Denver, CO. Did you visit with Allen and this car when he drove out that way?
Hi David. Very cool. Yes, I had the pleasure of driving Allen's car. What a rocket! Allen and wife, Mike (flew from TX), and Sky and wife (Elise from WA) came out to Reno in '05 for a little meet. We all went to the track, cruised Lake Tahoe, and the local mountain routes.Does it still have the Vortex charger?

Thanks for the video. I had to do alot to this car to make it drivable and trackable. The vortech 383 was on its way out and only lasted two track days. I had a naturally aspirated 401 SBC built with solid rollers making it a better reving engine, redline at 7300. The previous engine would overheat within 5 minutes, and then wouldn't restart. Left me stranded. Now, no overheating, always starts, constant torque, very drivable. Here is a video from my last weekend at VIR with the Tarheel Sports Car Club in the instructor group. My Ultima won fastest time of day both Saturday and Sunday during the time trials. The audio is not good, so please mute.
