I saw this car at RT Racing in Sheffield a while back. Full credit to pulling off a bespoke conversion, but you have to ask why an M3 engine? Less power, much less torque???? A tarmac shredding 6.0 or 7.0 LSx I can fully understand, but not a 3.2 straight six!?!?

My thoughts exactly.

I suppose the argument would be relaibility. But the AJP is probably the car's best attribute.

It seems a bit of A backward step.

Actually it's not a bad match for a Speed Six, 343 bhp vs 350. It's the engine that Wiesmann use in their British-style roadsters. Trouble is the S54 is a cast iron lump and relatively heavy compared to the non-M N52 engine. Nice and free-revving though -- goes all the way up to >8000 rpm.
