fuel pressure reg. hose-V8s

I have just finished putting my engine back together after some serious cleaning, painting and polishing. One thing I'm not 100% sure about is the the hose coming off the back of the fuel pressure regulator by the fuel rail. Is it just a breather or does it plumb in somewhere as I can't seem to remember where it goes. See the circle on the pic below.

I think that goes to a brass union on the stepper motor housing, I think it points down slightly at the back - not obvious to see. Its at the opposite end to where the stepper screws in.

I think you can just about see it on here - and by the way your picture is back to front which puzzled me for a while!

Cheers Chris, I think I know where you mean but it looks too big on your photo, its not very clear but on this photo I think the Blue braided hose (dont worry they are going soon) is going into that brass connector on the back of the stepper.

I can't remember exactly but I think there is a smaller union around there somewhere - I can look at my engine which is out of the car tonight if you need me to - but hopefully you'll have figured it by then!

You're right the one on my pic is the wrong one.

I remember now - its a stubby little pipe sticking out the stepper housing underneath the main body - you can't see it at all from above.

Look at this to get the idea - on ours the top pipe shown doesn't exist.
