Thats my hunting ground but it was not me today.Hows the lovely world of second cam going? Are you a little more comfortable with it now the weather has dried off a bit?

I had a new battery fitted and the 1000 mile service done. Whilst there i mentioned that i hadnt noticed if the second cam had engaged or not when i had tried to amke it do so the service manager offered to take me for a spin to show me.
I can honestly say that i have never been so frightened in all my life. I can also honestly say that i have never been in a car driven so fast either. I got out of the car and i was shaking like a shitting dog. Thats not to say that the chap drove recklessly cos he didnt, he simply showed me the capabilities of the car which in fact gives me more confidence because i havent driven it anywhere near its capabilities. He did say that i was a terribly nervous passenger which is very true. Saying that the car is probably capable of more but obviously he was being sensible as im a customer.
All in all i have had a good day with the Lotus today and hopefully my starting problems with the battery are sorted and i have a better insight into its capabilities.

Remember Steve @ Wilson's taking me out in an R for the first time! Oh my god compared with my Audi TT at the time and just blow me away, I already knew how good the car would handle as I'd owned an S1You just never forget that feeling
Go to Lotus and do the training day using there car's I'm telling you now you'll never want another brand of CarBoggy
I remember going out in an R the first time, I've never been so fast in my life in a car, and so close to stone walls, I couldn't wait to get behind the wheel.
Had a great drive out in mine this afternoon, top off, windows down - didn't even need the heater on, lol. Roads were fantastically grippy, car came alive.

Wait till you have the second cam feeling when you are driving. It is so satisfying
Let me know when you are ready for a NW trip out.
There may be a number of folks who are up for an Ingleton trip, North Yorkshire is brilliant. Amazing roads
Roof > DO IT. I have just come home with the roof off for the first time in 2008 and it was brilliant, sun setting and a all round lovely experience.

They had an SC delivered as well, ardent red. Not sure i like the spoiler on the back. There was also a black one there which looked nice.
I like that dealership, everyone is really nice and helpful but they need more bloody Lotus cars in there to sell. I think they have more Boxters than anything else at the moment. Its strange cos when you go to a Porsche dealer you dont see a Lotus but go to a Lotus dealer and there is always a Boxter or two.
Im going to visit a Lotus dealer in Norway on Wednesday whilst im there for the Everton game and even looking at their website they have a lot of Porsche cars.Perhaps that says something about Porsche owners wanting to be Lotus owners??
I will give you a shout the next weekend that im football free and we can meet up if you fancy it?

The more cars they sell the more money they will make and I believe that 15-20k Boxsters will sell like hot cakes to the general public (IE: non lotus fans). It would also be interesting to see how much the same Boxster would cost at CN compared to a Porsche dealer.
The black SC they have in does look the business in my opinion but I don't know if i could part with the best part of 40k for an Elise. I think I will see how the second hand values will do over time, can not wait to have a go though and see how it compares.
Always up for a run out so let me know
