.. started at 7:25am after 4 hours sleep, with my GF ringing to tell me that some knobber had scraped along the front of my car, ripping my cover. Not a good start, cover is probably past repair on 2nd inspection. Fortunately, the car is only very lightly damaged it seems so far. No idea how they managed it, Stevie Wonder must have been driving.

To balance that, and cheer me and the car up, I went out for a topless drive - All I can say is, I know I definitely did the right thing spending £20k+ on an Elise. Wow. Roads were nice and grippy (good cleaning from the salt and rain), was a nice warm-ish day, sun was shining and the car was almost telepathic (I know, a cliche if ever there was one, but it honestly felt that way). The best drive out I've had in it since I got it in October. I'm cheered up now, thanks for listening.

Bugger on the damage.... minor scrapes are easily repaired and often a chance to tidy up stone chips etc wink

As for the drive in the country, that's what they do best and what you bought it for, so get it while you can smile
