Hi Folks,

I just picked up my first Monaro CV8 last Saturday. Had a couple of teething troubles which are hopefully now fixed and I'm absolutely loving the car. I've filled up more than a couple of times already this last week, but I haven't stopped smiling. I don't wanna get out of the thing.

Here are a couple of pics of the old gal.

Cheers,

Tempy.

Jeez, you guys are more tedious than Granada man moaning about CV8 gear ratios. Don't scare the poor bloke off!

Welcome BTW, nice car!

Welcome to the forum that actively tries to bankrupt you (modding is contagious on here!)

Don't see too many 'ros with the factory spoiler. Interesting to see the lower rear bumper insert has been colour coded as well.

Enjoy!

Nice car, congratulations. Actually quite like them in Silver though contrary to the above we all know that Phantom Black is the fastest colour biggrin

Thanks for the warm welcome.

I've been quite lucky with the car, it's a real beauty and obviously been looked after by the only other owner. Its already had some mods carried out on it. So far its had the following carried out by Greens:

AP racing break upgrade
Wortec sport pac + exhaust
remap

And thanks to those lovely chaps at Monkfish (haven't met Andy or Roger yet, but they were very helpful on the phone when I was trying to find out the mods for insurance purposes):

Ripshifter
New Rear lights
Sports Suspension upgrade
Poly Bush Kit
camber/castor altered on front tyres (I think)

So what's next then? and no I don't have enough for a supercharger ha ha

Edit: Oh yeah Scoobaro, I didn't even know it had been colour coded until I bumped into the original owner yesterday and he told me he had it sprayed.

Here I am then nice and predictable. If you have £2K then change the gearbox. Make it like a proper oz VZ Monaro rather than Vauxhall's sorry we messed up one. Nice colour by the way.

Granada man is a bit like a dog with a bone, but entitled to his posts. There's nothing to beat Stigmund and Ringram when they start to get a bit techy. Way over my head.

Hi,

Yeah that was me. It is a beautiful car. The orange Wortec stripes and calipers just add a nice touch.

There was also a nice black ute outside. Never seen one in the flesh before.

I'm taking my baby back in tomorrow to get some (hopefully final) work done.

Oh and yes biglump, I've just signed up for the BrandsHatch meet, so I'll see you all there. Roll on 30th.
