audi 80 coupe windscreen replacement

Have only been a coupe owner for a short time an have a crack developing in my windscreen,I have spoken to a few people that said the windscreen is difficult to change and can involve water leaking into the car if not fitted correctly,has anyone had this experiance and could pass on advise on the best people to speak to for a sucessful replacement (south coast area).thanks in advance.

it is a tricky job, i believe the screen is bonded and have seen some bad replacements so can tell you what NOT to do. Seen a coupe roof pillar cut to put a new windscreen in, which is very wrong. I recently sold my coupe, and that was one of the issues that prayed on my mind when i had it for three years. You can see the white marks around the screen where the bond has air contact, when it starts to go.

As far as leaks go its not that bad, the boot is the guilty one for the majority of leaks.

Wrong part of the world for me i am afraid, will have to allow others to come in there.
