Considering that Mr. Walters only lives 5 minutes away, it was obligitary to attend the first fire up of the brand spanking new Super Pro ET rail. It looks beautiful (top notch paint finish by Richard) and sounded very strong indeed, sample photos below smile

Very nice indeed, Pete. May I recommend a (sun) peak on the helmet, as you may need both hands on the steering wheel!

All the very best when you get to the track. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh.

I ended up with a tinted visor for precisely that reason, after finding myself squinting into the sun and barely able to see the tree at Easter last year...

You mean this?

...and I just thought the black visor, black lid, black suit and black everything was just you and another "Tech Noir" phase! Ha!

That's the one. I might have bought it for entirely practical reasons, but I'm not going to deny that I like the way it looks too :-)

Just a (stupid?) question about the new dragster :
Why are the butterflies almost directly behind the rollcage ?
With that deflector shield in the cage, will there be enough air at speed ?

It shouldn't be too bad, weve been over this, and if it effects it, we will have to add a spacer or get a taller hat.

The reason for the motor being so close to the cage is because the TH400 box is a lot longer than the usual powerglide or such, so we had to mount to motor about 4 inches forward to fit it in.
