Friend got camera'd at 71 in a 60 limit. (In a funeral procession!!!)

Apart from the 'not signing route' are there any other way's out?

The nip was unsigned as the driver is dead.

May just work...

I got camera'd at 74mph, mate - and when I thought (WRONG!) that the limit was 70. It wasn't and I haven't made that mistake again.

But it doesn't matter by how much you are over the speed limit - if you're sent an NIP then you're in the same boat as everyone else...

Since that is *bound* to be a 3pts £60 job then your mate has got to decide if he wants an easy life or whether or not to make trouble. Telling them a dead person was driving is going to be like a red rag to a bull I'd have thought...
