Hi Guys
The tamora was widely regarded as one of the best handling TVR's which is why I have a feeling something is not quite right with mine.
The first few times I drove it the tramlining was awful but that was largely sorted by playing with tyre pressures however there is still a big issue when crossing cambers. For example on a winding but open stretch of road where you would drive straight through the car becomes very unbalanced which is very un-nerving when trying to then brake for a bend ahead.
Do any of you or have any of you experienced it and rectified it?

Oh yes!
Mine did the same. Rear Springs were bowed and had leaky (although not badly) shocks
Went down the route of GAZ adjustable and a couple of visits to uncle Derek (abshocks on here) who adjusted them, let them settle and then gave a final tweak. Sweet as the proverbial. Bear in mind that if set "firm" a light car wont be 100% happy on very rough surfaces when pressing on
Get them looked at and see if it is just having the whole suspension re-set up or if it is a fault on one or some of the components

I've just got my Tamora back after having the shock absorbers replaced (one of the front ones was leaking and John insisted we change all 4) with Billstiens. At the same time, we had Tuscan S rear springs fitted. It seems the standard rear springs are a little on the long side.
The car does feel much nicer and it seems to absorb bumps much better than before. It will be getting a very thorough test at Gaudix soon where I hope to take it on track (should be a breeze after doing the Ring in my Chimaera
)
The tramlining? John seemed to think it maybe down to excessive negative camber at the front, or just general alignment problems. He also mentioned un-even tyre wear on the front tyres as a possible factor. Tyre pressures do make a differnce - they should be 24 front and rear (hot)? I think he said.

Hi Richard, How's the Tamora going have you had all your tweeks sorted, what tyres are you running, just had a new set of 888's fitted, roll on Guadix, Ken.

Booked in for the end of March, awaiting some pound notes!
Tyres now there is an interesting one, it has brand new Toyo Proxy on the front and brand new Goodyear F1 on the back?! I do not know why but am doing a car limits day next week so that should get rid of some tread, fancy some 888's myself too!
