Love em or hate em?

I reckon you folks will either love or hate my new rims
the rainbow effect is because theyre titanium. people keep staring and asking me about them
Ray's Gram Lights te37 pro titanium, £2000 for the rims and about another £700 for the road legal slicks.
needs a proper clean, should have waited til she was spotless before takin pics but couldnt resist, as the suns back and I've been waiting months to get her back from the garage so YEEHAW!
days like this remind me why I have the cerb! hope you're all having fun too

"Not my cup of tea" is the polite version of what popped into my mind. Really detest them, but appreciate everyone has different tastes. I think the rear lights are a bad choice too, along with the red badge but - kudos for having the conviction to go with what you like. I might not like what you do but I'd defend your right to do it

Not that different from mine http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a... !!

I couldn't help but notice you are running 235 rear tyres, any reason for going narrower than standard? I thought they looked a bit small from the pics, and then in the close-up of your rear brakes you can see 235 printed on the tyre.
absolutely, its about going with what tyre is rated for the rim, there are not many tyres wider than that that the manufacturers approve for narrow 8j rims which is the widest the cerb uses as standard, so I went with the widest I could get which was approved for an 8j rim. the stickiness of the rs2 tyre should help compensate for the lack of width. I could also argue that although a large contact patch might be great at launch, its really holding you back causing frictional drag at higher speeds, also I find invariably that when I finally calculate what sizes I want, then finding those sizes in a tyre that you like can be sometimes hard also! I did put quite a lot of thought into tyre choice.Edited by longbow on Sunday 10th February 16:43
Well I've stuck 'em up on the old ebay, I have a set of 5 spoke 18s (TSW Apex) that I've just had pristine wheels powder coat in black for me, I'm pretty sure the black will look good on the cerb, the crazy titanium effect just wasn't quite spot on with the minty green paintwork :| lovely rims though!

I've fitted some new wheels too.
With Falken tyres (255/225) it did cost me €1370,00!
Make is ASA and they produce under license of BBS.
Did put the picture under my profile.
