Very nice, I do like black wheels (mine are a shade of black right now, but usually silver). Been out in mine, top down, was a bit over optimisitc with t-shir tand jeans though, had to have the heater on full, lol. Good news, the wheels didn't fall off after doing my lights, bad news - I need a new front number plate, doh!

I had a good drive this morning with the top off, the fog was horrendous but i enjoyed the drive. I have to say i much prefer the look of the car with the hard top on though. There are extra fixings on this car than the 111S i had when taking the hard top on and off but i think i will leave it off now until later in the year.

Have to agree, I think they look the mutts nuts with a body coloured hard top on them, especially in lighter colours.

The hardtop came off mine yesterday before I went for a drive around the Long Mynd. The car was washed yesterday and then polished and waxed this morning/afternoon - looks bloody brilliant now but when it's clean it does make me realise how badly it needs a respray!

My car was utterly filthy so I gave it a super clean today biggrin The air may have been cool but the sun was out and it was actually quite warm. I had to move the car into the shade as it was drying out as I was cleaning it!

My GF wants to know why we all post pictures of Elises, "Is it because we don't know what they look like?"

Took the hard top off and drove up to Castle Lotus yesterday, even had the windows down on the way back, lovely day.

Car's filthy now but a combination of a head cold, late night and neighbours doing loads of DIY leaving dust everywhere, means it'll stay that way for this week at least.

Hardtop's back on too, made the mistake of taking it off early a couple of years back - a week of heavy rain followed by 3 weeks of a cold snap ending in April...

mine said to me earier when i rushed into my study after washing the car "whats so important"? I told her i was putting some pics on this website. She said "weirdo" and then walked away. I think Bob Dylan once said something along the lines of "what they dont know they cant understand". Quite appropriate me thinks.

Spent about three hours yesterday changing 1 (yes one!) damper.
Got another two done in about four hours today (so I must be getting betterlaugh). Only one to go now. The car is looking very low now (needed wooden blocks under the wheels to get her off the jack). Hope the weather holds.

Not knocking Janitor's car but I really didn't think much of the two I've driven (New Model) I owned on of the old TT's 53 and regretted it as soon as I drove out the showroom

The TTR that i had looked like a fat Ford Ka at least the TT looks better. I thought it drove nice, it was smooth and had a nice growl when you put your foot down.Probably should have kept it 12 months really. Totally different car to a Lotus so it is difficult to compare and the TT or TTR dont have the Lotus "wow" factor.

On another note, i have postponed summer. I was sitting in the house bored last night and the telly was crap so i decided to see how difficult the hard top would be to put back on with no help. Took me about 10 minutes which i thought was quite good.
Every time i get the urge to want a new car i will just swap roofs.laugh
