Had a romantic weekend in Surrey - beautiful sunny morning today and an amazing black swan in the grounds of the hotel. Stick the two together... and voila!

unless my laptop screen has gone titsup isn't the swan's face out of focus?

shame cos it would be quite a shot.

I have to disagree. The first picture is much more powerful. The clouds in the second confuse ones frame of reference.

Sorry, i just had to do this since its valentines day coming up.

I prefer the first pic. I only noticed the clouds when they were mentioned.
Even if there was a carnival in the background, the image of the black swan is powerful enough to draw attention to itself.

Nice one, I always think swans look better as a pair!

Should crop the first one around the head and part of the cloud and the result would look like the swan has just sneezed wink

When you moved the clouds in the 2nd pic did you also do something else?
It is just that the golden highlights on the swan seem to lost a lot of their shimmer from the original.
