Great watches and very sturdy. I'm on my second Seamaster as my daily wear'er.
You should be able to achieve 20% from your high street Jeweller/Omega Agent and a little more if you're willing to buy from the net.
My advice is to try the models you are interested in, I initially wanted the Chronograph but quickly changed my mind once I had tried it against the non-chrono, there is also the size to consider depending on comfort and wrist size.
Good luck with your search.

Theres a Omega seamaster PO non-Crono aka orange in the Swindon outlet village branch of Goldsmiths. Its been there a while so they will give you a massive discount.
How do you know it's the same one? Every shop seems to have one in the window anyway. I'd be expecting 20% off, but not sure you'd get that in the high street. Should be easy via e-mail though.Stitch said:

Nice watch, but as common as muck. I'd want something a bit more rare for that money.
Yes - because everyone could/would spend what is a decent month's take home salary for most people on a watch!

Having said all that I would sooner have an Omega than a TAG, not that there is anything wrong with TAG, I just think you are getting more VFM with an Omega.

Now that I would agree with!I like Omega watches. I'd choose the Seamaster GMT over the PO simply because they're less common. The PO is very trendy at the moment, especially the larger version. It has a lot of shop window appeal, but way too obvious for me. Be interesting to see how the orange oversized ones date too. I saw one the other day with orange bezel and bright orange strap. I thought that was trying too hard. But I like the black bezel version with orange numbers.
you can get these for around £1300 if you buy off the net in the US and have somebody bring it over for you (i.e. a friend coming to visit - to avoid duty). I am really worried about the lack of Omega warranty, but so long as Omega will still service it I think I will take the plunge.

it's a good watch. you like it. what more is there to it. are you going to let the fact that many other people own this watch put you off getting one yourself?
likewise - the boxster is a cracking car and i'd love one. it matters not a)how many other people have one or b) what anyone else says about them.
at the end of the day - watches, cars, whatever, buy one *you* like.
Ive got the 45mm orange one on a bracelet, it makes my speedmaster seem like a kids watch in comparison!
I do like it though.
I bought mine in Paris from a jewellers on the champs elysses, paid 2400 euros, it was for sale at 2950 I believe.
just haggle
- I would also agree with the orange v black debate, I have the orange one, but if I had to wear one watch only I would probably have gone for the black as an all rounder. I like the lairiness of the orange one as a casual everyday watch, but it doesnt sit too well with a suit and can look a bit too "bling"
O

But I take your point about the PO being a nice watch, regardless of how many they sell.
