I am possibly looking for a change from the Elise (don't get me wrong I love the Lotus), but need something different I am not really into the whole 911 production car thing, I like my cars to have some character and life!!!
I was considering a t350 or sag but the running costs seem very high!!!
Does anyone have any experience with AC Cobra replica's? I have been looking around and the DAX replicas seem quite good value for money, you can get an assembled one for about £30k from these guys.

Also check out the ones with the hardtop very nice!!!!

Has anyone got experience of how they handle (I am not expecting Lotus style handling), where they could serviced around London and service costs, general things to look out for when buying used. depreciation etc.
There is one small thing tho, I can't help thinking that if I do get one I will always think in the back of my mind, that its a replica what are peoples views on this... (not that it bothers me too much)!!!
PS- Once the weather get better I am booking a test drive to see how it is!!!!

Strangely, Cobra replicas seem to be viewed as "OK" by even those people who usually hate replicas. On the handling front, they handle like you would expect a ridiculously overpowered car that was designed in the 60s to - entertaining but not very fast through the twisties.
Personally I think they look ridiculous with low profile tyres (like the ones you posted).
