I actually thought about hiring a van, Caddy for £42 ... but how much is it to dump stuff at dumps nowadays?

For a contractor, you can't take any to the skip without them making hassle.

For Joe Public you can keep taking it down can't you?

Not had experience of a skip company near you, but we find they normally take a few days to pick them after you off hire them.

Dumps can get really arsey if you have a hire van. They don't seem to allow for the fact that you are in a hire van and insist that you go over the weighing bridge. Even if you show them the documents they ask to look inside the van and if they deem the goods as commercial they will charge you for it.

I turn up in the fiat and no-one batts an eyelid.

the van will be un-branded as such. I might just give them a call to see what they say ...
