GTV Exhaust Question
Discussion
Hi Folks,
Exhaust has started blowing on the GTV so the time is probably right for a new one. It's got a horrible, round, black thing on it at the moment so I thought I might take the opportunity to upgrade to something a little nicer so would appreciate your thoughts.
Price is obviously a concern as I don't want to spend £500 odd on an exhaust as I can't justify the premium over a standard item. I've heard good things about Ragazzon on here and sportsalfa but not heard one myself. The other point is the sound, I would really like to have a bit of a metallic rasp to it as it suits the character of the car - think this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-eU8j4MeJ4I
Obviously, my Alfa won't sound like a Countach at full chat but that's the sort of tone I'd like
The other point is performance - anything that adds a few ponies would be great.
So, over to you guys - any suggestions for non-bank breaking, sports exhausts that look good, sound great and go fast??
Thanks
Gylen

I have a Raggazon silenced centre section and un-silenced rear section on mine and it sounds superb, without imo being too loud, the quality seems good so I would definitely recommend Raggazon.
thanks Pooh - what sort of tone does the exhaust produce (deep and growly? metallic and harsh?) and was it expensive? Also, did you look at any alternatives? Thanks,
Gylen

I fitted this centre section.

And this rear section.

I looked at Supersprint because I had one on my V6 155 and it was good quality and sounded lovely but it was more expensive and harder to get. A Supersprint system might sound slightly better(they tune them) but I am happy with the sound made by the raggazon system and it seems to have made it rev even more freely.
Just got a powerflow exhaust on mine. Had the same problem with mine about a week ago. Have to say that the powerflow sounds really really good! Cost less than £400 as well. Plus its stainless steel so it should last for ever! Also you can choose your tail pipe from a massive selection. Just got the letterbox type on mine it looks awesome.
I was looking at the Ragazons but it was a case of having to get the new exhaust on ASAP.
So yeah.

Blimey! How much..? Can get a custom made jobbie for that….
A cat back on mine made up while i waited was £388. And it looks soooooo much better than the standard Alfa exhaust. Although i dont know if prices vary between the powerflow garages or not. Think it might depend how much they charge for labour. Am really really chufed with mine though. Although im not sure if it may be a little loud, I have noticed that more people turn around to see what is coming.... And i asked for it to be quiet!Alfachick said:

Thanks guys,
Looks like I'm between a Ragazzon or a Powerflow then. Will investigate Powerflow further at my local place though I have to say, their website doesn't do them any favours! I feel like I ought to have a Saxo with plasticine stuck to it before they'll talk to me - heard a lot of good things about their systems though...
