Crackin day, sunshine, dry track and an empty pitlane. Big shame about the damaged cars tho, red M3 looked like a write off and lincoln lads Exige is gonna cost a few bob to put right, frown hope he has insurance.
glad to see you kept your Porsche the same shape. no doubt be seein you later in the year somewhere.

had a really good day, except for the crashes. wishing everyone and their cars a speedy recovery. desperately need to get some track tyres for the pug as my road tyres are almost finished after two trackdays!!! i am saving up for some R888's!! my other driver enjoyed his stints in the car - his first car trackday.

Thanks for all your words. Good news on all fronts:

1. The car is insured
2. We are both ok
3. Looks like just a new front shell and oil coolers etc
4. It's with Pat Thomas @ Kelvedon - there is no better !

Having a great time until the off. I'll be back soon, but taking it slighlty slower through "Barn"

Thanks again all...

R TOY - your elise really shifts!!! i was suprised by how quick all the elises were. that silver 135r was so much quicker than me down the straight - i couldn't believe it.paperbag i had a feeling that some of them may have been tampered with!!

Lincoln lad - glad you were OK - I passed the stricken Exige moments after the impact and my heart sank. Glad you and the wife are OK and your day was not soured too much.

If it makes you feel any better I have had an off there 2 years ago, in an S2 Exige, but I did it proper, the front and the rear, and it cost me £10k! The shame was unbearable! It was wet though...

Chap in the red M3 fine - he had been out in his track Evo all morning and was going so well he decided to try his road M3 out just before lunch. Half a lap later, it was wrecked. He managed to laugh it off in the afternoon!

Thanks Chris...

I feel a bit better knowing that, and as you said, you did it in some style ! The annoying thing was that was my 4th session of the day and my 5th visit to Cadwell - I should know better. My cost will be the excess, and although expensive, won't be anywhere near £10k..

I had been 30 odd times previously and it was our 37th event of the year, so I definitely should have known better! Cadwell is awesome but can bite very hard indeed.
