Throtle linkage

Just got my replacemnet for my J plate throtle linkage come through has anyone got any notes on how to remove the J one and refit the straight one?

the only tricky bit is holding back the top spring so it doesnt unwind. I fould that the inner of a bic pen would just slide over it & hold it in place while you change the linkage & then let it rest back against the new one.

whole job only takes 15 minutes even if you clean up the rollers etc

Totaly shocked, took me all of 5 minutes. My mechanic skills are low, wipe of the nut, slid back the retainer clip, slip of the arm, keep hold of the spring, replace and go. No problems, just test drove and on first impressions makes quite a difference on having to feather the clutch on starting to reverse and pulling away.
