There's a heated debate going on about censoredKin Livinstone's CC increases:

Noble CO2 data seems to be missing (see link below) so it looks like the git has placed us in the "Car 1st registered as new after 2001 with no CO2 data but engine over 3000cc" bracket (= £25).

Does anyone know the output for the Nobles anyway?

Is the Noble engine over 3000cc?
It is actually 2967 cc so below the 3000cc in theory..

edit to say "doh" Phil beat me to it.

But it's post 2001 so it's £25, as it's based on co2 emissions

There're no co2 figures published for it.

Because there are no figures, that why we pay £180 a year car tax ( i.e. the 2001 engine size rates ) instead of £205 ( co2 rates after 2001 ).

This may be good news for the Noble then. I've just re-read Ken's charges sheet and it's still confusing but "no change" (ie: £8) may be the case.

Right, he's mixing up CONGESTION an EMISSIONS - on the 6pm News he said it was because he was saving our lives and the lives of our children! He'll want a censored knighthood next!

He just hates chelsea tractors - co2 is the easiest way to catch them.

As I have a £25 a day car I have 3 choices - stump up, don't drive into C. London or use a different car.

Not going to London is my favoured choice

We've lived less than a mile outside the zone for over 2 years. Number of times I've had to drive in the zone when it's active? Zero. It's a good press story, and probably effects a few people, but generally it's just ineffective thinking as usual.

Please don't abuse the quote - chelsea tractors and successful people aren't always the same.

I am relatively successful but would never have a large 4x4 - for no other reason than I think they are stupid things to have around urban areas and are very rarely used for what they were designed. I do live near some very winding roads so have an Audi R8 (a Noble would be just as suitable!) Horses for courses

I am also a bit slow - what is EFA - I assume not a sign of affection?

Who gives a shit to be honest? If you can afford a Noble, does it even figure? Even if it was £50 when you compare it to the cost of the fuel, depreciation and parking it would still only be <1/3rd of a cost of a trip into town.

I think Boris hit the nail on the head today.... If he carries on the way he does he may actually get elected!
