Getting a battery off
Discussion
Please dont mock me, its my first bike and I'm very new to biking!
But it's just arrived (after much stress and waiting) with a flat battery!
MT can charge it but I don't know how to get it off.
It's a CBR600 FV
There is a leccy supply to the garage, what kind of trickle charger or please just tell me what to get!
Thanks!

If the FV is the same as the FW, firstly you need to take off the rear side panels. Then you will need a 12mm spanner to remove the bolts either side of the seat and then the seat will lift off. Once the seat is off you can remove the battery 'lid' 3 bolts 10mm I think, and the battery is inside
Hope this helps

to take it off, remove the black lead first, then the red one - its possible to get a shock if you do it the other way. i dont know if there is a clamp on it, i doubt it as there hasnt been on any bike ive seen. so just lift it out.
you can charge it with any 12v battery charger.
if you've got a car charger use that on the low setting. if your buying a charger get an optimate sytle one, they condition the battery so it lasts longer - plus you can leave them hooked up forever if your not using the bike.
EDIT - just seen the post that got in above mine, told you i knew nothing

i am not sure on your model but on previous cbr 6's it's sidepanels off seat off disconnect fuel pipe remove tank ot prop up then remove battery cover and disconnect battery .if you can leave battery in and charge you can probably leave the tank on .any of the modern intelligent chargers are ok ,optimate
etc
etc
