Chaps, I am looking for a company to supply an indoor "Tailored" cotton car cover for the VXR Monaro.

I have had a quick look on line, and have only found one company so far, (Specialised Covers), are there more out there?

Pleased for any feed back.

Try these:-

www.airflow-uk.com
www.covercraft-europe.com
www.dura.co.uk

You can usually find more in the ads section of mags such as Classic Car etc!

Thanks for the feed back, two of those companies will be getting mail in the morning. I have a quote pending from one company at the moment, but they are trying to work out what a Monaro is! no suprise there so I have sent some photo's to help them out.

Looks like it will cost between £250-300. Silly question I know, but is there anyone out there who might like one, cheaper by the dozen!!!!

Thanks again Paul

I'd love one Laurence, however, I've already gone down this path with all of the above companys, all to no avail. You have to have plenty of room for their covers/bubble systems...room which I don't have...I have to 'shoe-horn' my 'ro in as it is, with barely enough room to get out of the car once there & padding on the front number plate to protect it when I close the garage door! I know guys who have used the Airflow system when garageing for long periods (4-6 months) & they're more than happy with the product. But, then, again if you only want a cover.....!

Try Cover Systems on 01933 410851, if they are still around. I had two covers from them in the past and found them to be good quality at a fair price.

Thanks lads, new you would come up trumps!

Had in the post yesterday a very nicely written quote from Specialised car covers along with a swatch of material, and it goes like this:- one tailored premier dust cover in black with red piping with VXR logo on the bonnet panel £180 + all the other bits £227. Nice one, cheques in the post.

I have bought non tailored ones before and the not only look like S**t but they also let that substance through as well!!!

Will post a photo up when it comes as a lot of you I know have bought their Monaro's as toys.

Nice day out there today, just had to get the old gal out and scare the rest of the nation, he he he

Thanks again chaps

cheers

Laurence

Hi,

Just covered my Tuscan in http://www.hamiltonclassic.co.uk/ProductInformatio... it is working just fine. Much cheaper than other brands and I got free delivery after I mailed the fellow with a question.

As I started this topic it is best that I tell you the end, well I bought a cover from SCC and I am very impressed with the quality and the fit, so here's a picture of it, and as you can see I will now have to replace the one on the RX.
