Hi all,

I've got an old C reg (1986 I think) pick up fitted with an ivor williams hardtop. It's a petrol model, which I guess will make it less popular, but that's never bothered us much as we only use it to move hay bales around the paddocks - now that my youngest has learnt to drive and passed his test I need to replace it with something more practical for him to use, hence needing to sell our much loved Landie.

Only thing is, I have no idea what it's worth - could anyone please advise?

Many thanks
Igg

Whoops - it's a 90 with a 2.5l petrol
No power steering, just basic pick up
86,000 miles (genuine)
MOT and all that.

Thanks
Igg

About £1500 tops depending on condition.

Thankyou Bluethunder (funnily enough that's the name my kids give my 'other' car as it's Blue and it's loud!).

It's not in bad condition, but does have the usual dents to panels that old Landies pick up in their travels, so I guess I'll go for a bit less and see what happens.

Thanks again

Have a look on e-bay at Landies of similar age and spec and tick 'completed listings'. This should give you an idea of what people are willing to pay.

sorry - been away from desk/computer for a couple of days.

Thanks - will look at ebay, as for why it's not such a good first car - it's a petrol powered beastie and fine for using around the farm, but not his regular trips to his mates - I reckon it's doing somewhere between 10 and 15mpg (not helped by his heavy right foot!).

Cheers

My first Landy was 2.5 petrol 90 pickup with canvas back. I got at worst 16mpg out of it and on a run had low 20’s (this was back in 1999-2001). Get it converted to LPG and that would be a fine first car. Well that at least what I wish I had done.

If the chassis and bulkhead are sound you should get £1500 easy - 90s are popular now and have replaced the Series trucks as first Landrovers and weekend laners.
