Now that's a beautiful car.

But, IMHO, it would be even better on original cross-spokes or Alpinas, rather than those e39 (??) wheels. Just my view, of course.

Absolutely stunning.

Is that Dolphin? A highline?

The original wheels are metrics I think and tyres are harder to find and thus more expensive but as has already been said a car like that deserves to be kept original and cherished.

The tyres if non metric are pricey, but well worth having on original rims. Otherwise some AC Schnitzer or Alpina wheels look great and with modern rubber give huge grip and a much higher cornering speed.

Thankyou all for your comments,Ill try and answer some of your questions, the colour is Larch Silver, it is a Highline,Havnt taken pic of the backend yet, when some work was done on her they removed the badges when they put them back it says CS--------635i Doh! apparrently superglued on! So one of those jobs to do probably cost a bomb, will post more pics tommorrow if it stays sunny as for the price a steal at £3495 12months mot 10 months tax 6 month warranty on engine and gearbox, what a happy boy I am!

When I had mine the cheapest price I could find for metric tyres was £220 plus VAT...

Get those awful wheels off though!

The original Metric alloys are BBS cross spoke style, but with an extra black rim.
The Michelin TRX tyres look terrific if you want to keep the car period-perfect.
However, they are madly expensive, tram-line badly and are nasty in the wet.

I'd go 16" BBS cross spoke or Alpina 17" - if you can afford it.

I have to agree - I think the E29 wheel work really well with the shape...
