Rockingham & Silvertone you are miles from everything, Brands is good, mallory is ace as you are so close, Knockhill is great too but its always wet or windy or both.

Surely Lydden Hill has to be up there with good viewing?? Stand at the hairpin and you can see 95% of track. Granted, its not a high profile track but still good for viewing.

Brands Indy is the best, although Knockhill is quite good from the top of the hill.

Donnington is pretty good from a few spots - certainly a more interesting circuit to watch than Brands Indy, Rockingham, Mallory etc.

Another vote for Brands Indy, but I also like Thruxton because you can get close to the track with no fencing. Also Quarry at Combe because I appreciate the challenge and there's always plenty of action.

Last time I was there construction of a motocross style track on the infield was under progress, so that might restrict the amount of track in view from certain spots?

donnington has great views from the inside of Coppice as you can see the craner curves but Castle Combe is my favourite as you can get quite close to the track. you can see loads of the circuit from the outside of camp (bobbies, to Quarry exit) and the straight before the esses (exit of bobbies, camp, lose them for a few seconds on the dip at avon rise and back for quarry, old paddock....)
even tower has a grat view as you are in the rare position of looking down on cars coming straight towards you, watching the late brakers on the limits of adhesion is always good stuff.

lydden is so small you can watch all of the race, while your actually racing !!!!!


interestingly I find that circuits where you can see most of the track are actually hard to follow, precisely beacause you can see everything you tend to scan around the whole circuit constantly, and miss bits out. If you have a small field of view you see all the action in that bit...



SIlverstone is crap whichever way for viewing. especially the national

You get an excellent view if you stand of the high banking at the exit of Quarry as with Camp there is a slight blind spot but this time its going into tower as it also dips down,the run from camp to Avon Rise is the fastest part of the circuit and watching the cars coming into Quarry really shows just how fast the entry going over the rise into quarry really is,there was talk that some of the evo's in the saloon champioship where topping 160mph up to Avon Rise the Gt's being even faster
