Will definately be looking at the Ferrari title on PS3, but in many reveiws i have read it is described as arcadey rather than simulation.

The real Ferrari title you want to be looking out for is the Ferrari Project by Blimey http://www.blimeygames.com/site/main.php these are the chaps responsible for GTR1&2/RACE/GTL so it will be a proper simulator and very detailed.

I presume that will be PC only?
don't trust my PC to run anything faster than chess.

Yes you will need a high spec machine judging by the scree shots, lot's of Ram for the physics as well, but i promise it will be worth it!
