Not strictly an Elise question I know, but does anyone know if there any issues with putting a front number plate (the white one) on the back of the car?

It's just that I've got a spare white one so it would save me a few quid...but not if the filth are going to stop me every 500 yards.

Does anyone know what the rules are and/or whether they are enforced?

FFS just buy a new plate! Anyway I think its illegal to show a white light (which a reflective plate would appear as) at the back unless reversing. Why invite hassle?

It's illegal, and I'm sure you'd get pulled and given a producer and/or a fixed penalty fine.

You have a 2008 Elise R ... So what is £8 (or £12 down my local Autoparts! Boo!) in comparison?

And while you are at it order a 3/4 size front plate from fancyplates as it looks so much better.

I've got one for the front, which suite the elise much better, but can you get away with a 3/4 on the back? Anyone got a pic?

Put a 3/4 on mine yesterday, seen as I ripped the corner off the full size one. I do have a full size one spare though (staying in the boot) - Thanks to Christopher Neil, who sent me front and rear plates gratis smile
