Engine cut out when trying to pull away in traffic jam!
Discussion
Hi,
Last night when i pulled away from a traffic jam the engine just died.. it displayed the following code:
L - Erratic road speed signal input.
Car started after a few turn overs.. After 200 yards as i drove round a corner it cut out again...
(Didn't really need this in rush hour traffic!!)
Does this sound like the alarm system playing up ?? As after the second time I decided to alarm and disarm the alarm system. Car ran o.k until I got home but then again that was only 1/2 a mile! and When I've driven to work this morning about 8 miles.
what do people think the problem could be ?
Many Thanks
Andy

very amateur advice from me as usual, but have a read of this post I just made...

Fitting a nice chunky new 630amp (I think) battery solved lots of silly stalling/cutout problems for me.

Andy,
Engine just cut out.. I do have the TVR software and cables.. But even when I get a EFI fault that stays on they are no error logs to tell me what made the EFI fault occur just the current readings. My version seems different to the TVR dealers that did show error logs.
Maybe its me not using the software correctly.
The battery was replaced 4 months ago.
cheers

I think I know what the problem is !! it came to me @ 04:15 this morning.... The bloody car alarm going
off!! reset the alarm 3 times but after about 1-2 minutes it would go off again... No real rain or wind. So I think I have a fault alarm :0(
Anyone know of a good car alarm company in Horndean, Hampshire area ???
Cheers

Heres the answer to my problem !! ( I hate it when no one gives a reply to what sorted their problem)
Problem sorted by the RAC man!! It was a faulty fuel pump relay ... A little bit of soldering and problem fix !!. Problem was intermittent due to the circuit get hot and cold
Alarm problem was due to my carphone mic swing in the wind!!
Cheers everyone that replied to my post !! Hope my answer can help others...
