Chim 500 97 - i notice the oil pressure switch unit mounted underneath the engine is leaking oil from the oil feed pipe (a common fault?)

Quesition is this an easy DIY job (Steve Heath doesn't seem cover this) and if so what is the best source of part supply ?

Any help/advice appreciated

Hi Andy,

The pressure switch is number 12 on this diagram.

And the switch can be got from: http://www.racetechdirect.co.uk/product-subsection-detail.asp?MakeID=2&ModelID=120&CATID=6&SUBCATID=42&PROID=635

Hope that helps

The switches are just common LR ones, about a fiver from your local store. It may just be the washer that needs replacing, but for the cost I would stick a new switch on anywaywink

Does this torque setting relate to the switch referenced or the full pressure sensor switch ? these are two different items.

Secondly, do i trust this is a simple screw in/out job without oil loss or is a full drain necessary ?
