I am currently posting from the coldest and most expensive place on the plant.

I travelled here yesterday to watch the Everton match with the help of excellent service of Lotus once again.

Some may be confused at the link so let me explain. I was struggling to obtain a match ticket as the club only received 900 tickets so i contacted the Lotus dealership in Bergen to see if they could help. The Sales Manager at the dealership went out of his way to go and get me two tickets for the game.

I picked them up at the dealership once i got off the plane and had a look around the showroom. It was fantastic. The website is www.ferdinandmotors.no and they have some cracking cars in there. Unfortunaely the Sales Manager wasnt available to meet personally but if you are reading ths Gunnar thank you for your help, it was very much appreciated.

I just hope whoever we get in the next round of the UEFA Cup has a Lotus dealership !!

Nice one mate glad you're having fun!

Gotta ask though - why did you call a Lotus dealer for footie tickets?! Strange thought process going on there lol.

Did you pretend to want to buy a car from them?! hehe

I was despeaate for a ticket and was running out of ideas. Someone off here (Trond) gave me a contatc at the dealership in Bergen so i tried my luck and it paid off. As Del Boy would say "he who dares wins".

£8 a pint and £9 for a Big Mac and large fries !!!

What a beautiful country though and the people are so friendly. Had the fortune to go to quite a few away trips in Europe watching Everton but this trip ranks as one of the best.

In winter you must have (both through law, and sensibility) winter tyres - so you get grip, but poor cornering performance.

In the summer though, now that's a different matter and I may well take mine up there one time...

The ferry over isn't cheap but you've got to drive Norway at least once. The Trollstigen, the Atlantic Road, the corkscrew tunnel, the epic waterfalls and glaciers, the Lærdalstunneln, the Golden Route, the Panorama Road and so on and so on. A stunning place.

i would crash the car looking at the scenery. It is breathtaking. I flew to Oslo then flew internally to Bergen. The views were unbelievable.

It does take a ruddy long time to drive around the country - a combination of deliciously challenging roads and having to stop every 500yds to take more photos.

Bergen, Oslo, Stavanger... all amazing cities but you really have to travel through Norway to appreciate just what a stunning country it is. I'd recommend it to anybody.

Nice to hear that he could help smile Actually they are not an "official" Lotus dealership either but sells different kinds of "exotic cars" and among them a few Lotuses as well. I had been in contact with them earlier and knowing that they were very helpful and do live and work in Bergen I thought why not give it a shot... Happy to be able to help a fellow Lotus enthusiast, next time it might be me needing some help.

If the unexpected would happen and Fiorentina lose against Rosenborg in Italy next week I should be able to help you personally as I work a few hundred meters from the stadium smile But it's no doubt most likely that you will go to Florence next round as the italians won 1-0 here on Thursday. That's a great place too by the way, great food and a lot of old buildings etc to see. I guess in should be possible to track down an italian guy either here or on Seloc that can help you next time wink

Cheers Trond. I would love to go to Rosenborg as another trip to Norway would be great however i have already taken a gamble and booked flights and hotel in Florence as i expect both Everton and Fiorentina to progress now after the first leg results.
Thanks again for youre help.thumbup
