Does anyone know of one going spare for a few beer tokens?
I know I can buy a new set but didn't really want to spend that much - been using a screwdriver for donkeys.

If it like my ones I've done them with a screwdriver when the key has been in a different location to the wheels and myself hehe

No damage to them unless some monkey has done them up . . .

If it is star shaped could you buy one of those star shaped screw drivers from maplins / RS Components, just need to know the right size, or is it a completely different star shape.

Not sure, have to check. Its a star with around 8 points but rounded off edges so I doubt one of these would fit. After all they are security bolts.

I used one from a cycle lock and it worked. I've since replaced with nice shiney ones from Leven though, much easier with an allen key.

That's where you're going wrong then.

Screwdrivers are for screwing screws.

Donkey's are much loved by the Chimpy boys wink
hehe
BTW
I preferred the star types, but gave up trying to find a key and bought Leven.
If enough of us wanted one perhaps a small batch could be made.
I would prefer to go back to original.

FFG, I made mine out of a piece of small bore copper pipe (8mm?). You just need to deform the edges then punch it in to get a good fit. The copper is too soft to cause damage.

I might be able to help you out here....... I'll know for definant in 2 weeks time.... I think original key included in deal about to do (can not fully confirm as it was not of interest to me).

Any chance of you getting a copy of your OZ key made by local metal work shop (cost not really problem) ????? it only needs to be a T bar the same diam as retaining screw a few inches long to clear nut, with the end shaped nothing flash

Maggit,
Your dad made the bolts but I do have an original OZ wheel bolt key but couldn't get the bolts. I guess that's what Steve is talking about.

That the it the key..... I've got the bolts.... but no key.

If the crinkle key is for the wheels on 500, i'm 98% sure I will have one in a fortnight

Ah, I knew he did something, that's what I thought he did. Sorry, my mistake.

I noticed the other day that Mrs 97's Renault Scenic has the same star-shaped bolt on her centre caps as the Griff - I'll check when I get home that they are the same size. What about contacting a breaker? I was trying to source something for her car the other day and found a breaker on e-bay. When I spoke to him about Scenics, he said he had "loads" - they are much more common than Griffs, so should be easy to get hold of. HTH
