A fella in California i know, who owns a large automotive paint and body repair company, has ordered the above.
$400,000 apparently.
I wonder how many are being made in LHD?
It WILL BE LHD, i presume?

Have a look at the latest copy of Autocar, there is a detailed article about an extended drive by one of their guys in Bentley Chairman Paefgen's personal Brooklands. It sounds and looks impressive.

Don't doubt it will be impressive. It wants to be for a quarter of a million pounds!
But i thought they were a very limited edition, all RHD?
Maybe not!

I don't have it in front of me now, but I think that one is LHD. I don't see them selling 300 in the UK.

I picked up this week's Autocar earlier, and it does look like two and a half tons of deliciousness yum

I haven't been out in one, but I have had a very close look at one, inside and out. It is every inch a proper old school Mulliner Rolls Royce.

Hi there,

Got the chance to have a look at the Brooklands last year at the Bentley Drivers Club day.

It is a stunning car: -

Have a client not far from the Bentley factory and whenever I am up there I always see loads of Continental GT's, Arnages etc but just recently have seen a few Brooklands being tested before being shipped to their new owners.

Regards

Tim

Initially I wondered if it was too heavy. The more pictures I see the more convinced I am that it looks absolutely right. The cream one in the Autocar article is LHD and I see that they are going to make 550 in all. Quite superb.

Not as good looking as the Continental R/S/T, methinks, but probably rather more room in the back.

Well, yes, I wouldn't detract from the Continental R's for a second. I wish I could buy one - they are still £40-50k and the rest. But this, and it does have elegance as well, is a big powerful charismatic beast, which has a certain resonance with the heritage, do you not think?

It is truly magnificent -- and it is tempting to buy one to keep forever.

There are images of the interior in autocar this week and it looks to be the most superbly finished thing ever.

Bentley I know - and I did pick up the Naim announcement, but who the f__k are they? Linn, yes, Alpine, yes, Huntley & Palmer or whoever Aston Martin are using, but Naim? It sounds as if it was a perfume or something to do with Naim Attalah?

Not heard of Naim? You'll be telling us next you didn't know it had Graham Williams foundry door handles.
