in a pickle need some pics of the emergency release system from the owners handbook, can anyone on here help me with this? I'm in court over a ticket that was issued and baliff took the car whilst i was in the statutory out of time declaration process, hence the handbook is in there.

please email and don't post on here.

many thanks
Dean

Entry details aside, I'm confused, they've impounded your car for a fine, I assume parking fine confused. It seems a bit out of balance to any fine value confused...... You sir owe us £200, your £12,000 car will do nicely confused isn't there a law against that sort of thing.
Or is it something completely different confused

pretty much, they want now 900 now for the return, its all on hold now have to go to court, after a complete and utter crap system through the TEC, some N244 Application to do now. If I pay 900 it will probably never be seen again, baliffs are a law into their own

I'm no expert (by a very long way) but baliffs are licensed by courts and have to stick to very strict rules as to what they can and can't do, if they step out of line then they are answerable to a judge.
A very old piece of law is still on the statute books from the 11h century, Statute of Marlborough, this offers you protection from baliffs. One aspect of it is if the seizure was not on your property or on the highway directly in front of your property they cannot take it as I read it. If they have I think they may have committed an offence.

Tis a very difficult and specialist area, but like PH for motors there are sites where you could get the right/better advice check this one out, worth a punt http://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk/forum/baliffs...
