Tavano Grandstand - your opinions
Discussion
Hi all, as a newbie to this forum I would first like to say hello. Been loitering around here for about a year, and finally decided to join.
I have booked a seat in the Tavano Grandstand this year, thats the first one along the main start/finish, opposite the podium more or less.
Can any of you who have sat in this stand before give me your comments on the view. If any of you have photos taken from this location I would love to see them. Im wondering whether its worth taking a decent camera with me or not.

The views from the stands are good and enable you to rest your legs while getting a break from the hot sun / wet rain! The photo opportunities from the stands are not the best in my opinion, but yes, it is certainly worth taking a decent camera - you're not going to be in your seat for the whole 24hrs and there are some great vantage points for photo's from the general admission areas. And also take a tripod for the nightime light trails under the Dunlop bridge and down through the esses
I suppose it depends exactly where you are sat in the grandstand. We could see the zigzag (not sure of the name) where the cars peel off for the pits and all the way up to the top of the start finish straight. I have also sat on both sides of the straight as well, they all good in different ways. With the bad weather last year, anywhere with a roof was good.
