Been messing about in PS. Probably deserves a better title, but it sums it up well enough. LOL

OOB, gotta love the effect.

Been thinking about doin' it to some car pics but haven't gotten round to it yet (takes me ages, LOL). Mighty fine pic, the subject fits the effect well smile

There's a guide how to do this here http://www.logicscape.com/oob_tutorials/ It's presented as a downloadable PDF document, and is laid out in a very simple, easy to follow, idiots guide style. Well, if I can follow it, anyone can.

There are some good examples in this thread on another forum. http://photography-on-the.net/forum/...&highli...

Look out for posts by a guy called Serrator (the author of the guide in the first link) from page 14 of the thread onwards, as he's done some really good ones.

They're the same tutes I use when I do it - they're the best I've seen so far for this effect. True, they are very easy to follow

I believe his work is also on Flickr smile

My first attempt was this:

The effect is much better on the fly, tho.

Ian, those ones with the cars in the air work really well - they really do "jump off the page" at you. Excellent.

Have got round to doing one of my own car, with another slight twist.

Ian, those images do lend themself well to this type of effect. Nice one.
DIW, I'd never have thought of applying a gradient of colour to mono in the actual image. Brilliant. Might have to give that a go myself, sometime.

Hi John

This is the very first one I did, so it lacks a bit of 'polish', but the recipient of the photo (the Bride) was very pleased with it.
