Hi Guys.
I Have a 6x3 from www.surfturf.co.uk these come in at around 300 quid!!! I had a 3x3 for the bike racing and it lasted for years until i lent it to a neighbour and they let it blow down the garden, not good..... however i have a heavy duty 6x3 now and it is the perfect size fot the car, i can even put it up alone if i have too!! If the address is wrong google surf and turf awnings.

I'm going for one of these. They do larger branded sizes too (5m x 5m „ 6m x 6m „ 4m x 6m „ 4m x 8m) so I'm getting a 6m x 6m for my car and Joos S. The price is about 1K inc VAT.

It might be worth us still all going for a bulk buy as all the suppliers seem to do the same ranges,
from the cheaper to the more expensive. The main differences seem to be the weight of the material, connectors on the frames, and connection methods of the sides and the structure of the frames them selves.
If we list size were after and budget, we could try the suppliers to see if they would do a bulk buy across the range. we might be able to blag some discount or maybe some free logos
let me know if anyone is interested.
I really fancy a 6 * 4 in good quality material if I can fine one as 6*3 is a little narrow to work on a car in..

Well ive gone seriously over budget, so think this will have to wait for another year. else I'm not going to get out.
Its ok Im sure someone will find you somewhere to shelter when it rains...
It is a bit of a luxury, but The old chap is getting on a bit now
I don't think your much older than me, I'll be 39 this year.
Ezi ups... Great and fast to put up but not very strong. We went through three last year, left one at Cadwell, one at Rockingham along with Doms from TVR Power and one at Brands Hatch. If you do buy an ezi up arm yourself with plenty of tie wraps and mole grips and a mig welder. Happy racing... www.greenstarracing.com

Thats a concern which is why I've spent so much time looking at the different models.... they do seem to vary a lot... I've also bought ground bars and brackets to bolt it to the trailer to help things out, and it'll always be tied down..
My old 2.5x2.5 thing has seen a fair amount of abuse, and apart from one joint that broke the second time it went up its still standing... The sides on that one are a waste of time though... the frame on that one is made from paper compared to the new one though ;-)
Ultimately if the wind gets high enough it'll destroy anything.. in the last 6 years I've seen 5 destroyed artic awnings !!!!! and they cost 10-20k !!!

Well it seems fairly strong, I accidentally left it up last night in the gales we had here... The awnings fine, I wish i could say the same for
my fence,
my shed roof
next doors greenhouse
oh yes and across the road there is a chap with a TV Ariel sticking out of his car roof !!! the best bit is nobody knows where its come from, a he's checked all the houses nearby...
