Electrics not shutting off
Discussion
My 05 CV8 seems to have developed a bit of a problem in the cold weather. When you open the door all the internal lights and radio etc don't shut off straight away. If I stand there and wait or open and close the door a few times they seem to shut off eventually. Has anyone else had this problem?
I'm a bit worried about walking away by mistake with everything inside the car blaring away.

Not seen this problem but from your description it sounds like the door switch might be bunged up. This means that when you open the door the switch isn't popping out so the car doesn't know the door has been opened.
usually this is mounted in the door hinge somewhere and is push switch. Should only need a cleanup top free the switch
Worth getting sorted as it's also part of the alarm

i had something similar on my vxr and it was the switch in the door pillar a bit of wd40 (other other fine grade oils are available ) should do the trick
WD40 isn't an oil.
Be careful where you use it as it actually is a degreaser and if you spray it over something that is lubricated with oil/grease then it'll make things worse. Bike chain lube is good for most things as it is more permenent and doesn't increase wear from dirt/grit contamination
