Silicone Hose Kit for a V6

Hi

I am considering buying a Silicone Hose Kit from TVRcarparts who list a kit for £154.00 and confirmed that there are 11 hoses in the kit sufficient to replace all engine bay hoses. Now that sounds like all hoses to me, but I have seen some less than complimentary comments about the contents and fit of this kit, but nothing recently...

Has anyone bought one of these kits recently and has an opinion they would be prepared to share (PM me if you like)

I was trying to source rubber hoses to replace mine, but I'm losing the will to live trying to find the right size, price etc etc hence the query

Don't forget presumably that kit price presumably also excludes the Chancellors 17.5% bung and delivery.

Have a look here on the ACT website. I believe its the same kit direct as the money loks the same. I have only heard good things about these and will probably invest in some myself come spring.

Some pics here. Adrian Venn Exactly TVR fitted the hose set for me but used the stainless steel water pipe set from ACT as well. He thinks that the hoses need the s/s pipes rather than the TVR originals to fit well. But one of the hoses from the swirl pot has to go straight through the fan belt so future replaceents of the F/B will need the cooling to be drained









I'm very pleased with the work Adrian has done (please note rocker boxs, stainless steel manifolds and how clean and tidy the engine bay is!!!)

I recently purchased new stainless pipes and a blue silicone kit from ACT. The only thing to really be aware of, is if your car is an S3C, as the bottom pipe is different to the one I bought so I had to 're-engineer' the pipes to fit.

Great pics Norman thanks... it has certainly brightened up your engine bay, big improvement . Its good to hear of the issues too... stainless pipes and hose thru the fan belt... and I see what you mean about colour choice.

Having spent time this weekend fitting a shiny new swirl tank I can confirm that my pipes are connected in the same way as yours. Top small one to the header tank. I took pictures before hand as my memory ain't what it was!
