TODAY:

Nice imperial blue tuscan at the lights right opposite me on bayswater road, i wave smile, he looks at me thinking i must be nuts...

Smithfield meat market in the City, I see this chim parked outside UBS Warburg quite often on weekdays so when he was slowing down in the middle of the road, i pulled up alongside and smile and wave... the elderly gent looks back (still a bit confused) and is probably wondering why I didn't just overtake...nice Chim though, silver with red hood, 8 BFO i think...

so i have decided to resolve myself now to reciprocate when waved at first....especially in London, otherwise I'll just feel like a complete bozo...sorry to any friendly London TVR drivers (hi tamgirl ) i know some of you are friendly and enthusiastic...hope to meet you all one day!

Happens to me all the time in the hood, sorry I mean East London and even when I'm in the Cerbera! They think I'm nuts when I wave and stuff.

Saying that though, came into work in the City today, and waved at a Tuscan and he waved back so I guess knew I was a TVR owner (Well I hope so and didn't think I meant something else!!!)

Don't know of or seen many PH owners in the London area though.

Last time I drove my 3000S into London, where I work, I saw 4 other TVRs and they all acknowledged me as I waved to them.

However, I assume my registration gave them a clue as most owners of post-1992 TVRs think older models are either Triumphs or Datsuns

I experienced exactly the same reaction from the Driver and Passenger of a Blue Tuscan on my way back from Goodwood Festival of Speed.
As I joined the A3 they sailed past.
I was also in a Tuscan, with a Tuscan S behind me, we caught him up and both waved - They just blanked us totally.

I think they should put an appendix in the manual:

Driver Etiquette

When another TVR owner waves to you, WAVE BACK YOU MISERABLE GIT!

I thank you.

Leaving the GFOS on the Saturday we passed a blue chim watching cars leave. We waved and so did he.

I was unfortunately in work on Saturday and whilst leaving the Old street area gave a wave to an 03 registered black Tuscan and a 52 registered Silver Tuscan. Both ackonwledged. 9/10 I find most Tivsters are a friendly bunch. Those who aren't are generally only driving the car as a genital exetension/replacement! IMHO

You can meet some by turning up at DD's on Bishopsgate next Monday from 18:30 onwards - its the TVR Car Club City Region's monthly beer session.

Well, I've had the dubious distinction of being dangerously cut up by another TVR while driving my Griff.

On the way back from Le Mans in heavy traffic on the M25 I pulled alongside an old bloke driving a silver Tuscan. My passenger and I waved cheerily, then slowly overtook as traffic allowed. At that point, miserable non-waving Tuscan owner decides he won't be overtaken by a pesky old Griffith, and accelerates without warning into the space in front of me. Except the space isn't big enough, and I have to panic brake to avoid him slicing the front off my car.

Just goes to show that kn*bs buy TVRs as well - fortunately they get fed up with them pretty quickly and move on.

How said is this - I tooted an 'S' and it was on the
back of a recovery truck with it's owner looking
very sad...

Perhaps it made his day.

Yep - on the opposite side of the road from the BR Station. We congregate in the downstairs bar and can be spotted instantly by the fact that we will be talking utter bollocks about cars and car racing.

I get a positive response almost every time in West London . . though I do notice that Tuscan drivers appear to "concentrate" more!
