I collected my XJR from the valeters and neither front or rear parking sensors are working. When I first start the car and pick a gear I just get a constant front sensing beep for about 4 seconds and the red light stays on (on always at parking speeds). Rear sensors do not beep at all.

Anyone else had this problem?

I am wondering if there are techniques used to reset the sensors or clean them in some way. Visual inspection is all ok. I will take to Jag if necessary, I am just delaying because it's a hassle.

Cheers

Do they use a jet wash. Probably, let the car dry out and I'm sure all will become well again.

If not, find the fuse, pull it and rest it.

Thanks for the quick reply. Yes, they jetwash the cars first. The car is parked in the warm and dry all day so I have less suspicion of moisture. I like the idea of pulling the fuse, I'll try that at the weekend and if i get no joy I guess I'll be trundling to Lancasters.

Jet washing parking sensors is A Very Bad Thing. Go and have a chat with the valeting company about it. punch
