My new 360 Spider doesn't have Scuderia Shields on it as it is today. Am I right in thinking they can't be added later as they are part of the wing build so only available on cars when new as an option? Just wondering if I could add them later that's all and if so how much they cost?

Cheers

yes and no.

The factory fitted ones have the wing indented and the crest placed into the dent. A lot of cars you see have either stick-on resin shields (about 10 quid) or some sort of metal stick-on shields.

The stick-ons can be bought at a dealer, or on ebay.

Metal ones come from a couple of places, one is "Yoshi's shields" at www.yoshield.com - although he is known to be unreliable. There is another source which may be better but I can't remember the link.

You can have them recessed into the wing on a non-shield car, but it is expensive and time consuming (will require a very very good bodyshop). It has been done - saw it on a 348 and looked a stunningly good job.

The metal "Yoshi" type fakes are meant to be pretty good, but never seen appear myself.

The recess looks like this with the shield removed

Yoshi's shields are excellent. But the guy travels a fair bit so can be hard to get hold of. He does usually answer emails though IME.

Getting properly recessed ones wouldn't be worth the hassle/cost IMO, but can be done.
