What is the general rule regarding ariels on Chimaeras?? I have a lead coming out of the back of the radio but not as yet traced it back. Is there a factory hidden ariel anyone is aware of or is it something of a dark area?

Thanks in advance

John

I think it's hidden somewhere in the passenger side A-post, behind the trim, but, as with everything else with these cars, it probably depends upon build date. I'm sure spend, don't know him wavey, but have seen him giving valuable advice on lots of other TVR threads on here, will be along soon to advise.

Oh, and prepare yourself for a round of '... and what do you want a radio for?'

Are you wondering because your reception sucks? Mine (a year 2000 450) was absolutely useless when the engine was running and pretty poor when it wasn't until two weeks ago. Then I had the Mod-wise "Amplified Aerial Kit" fitted (http://www.djbeer.hostingbt.com/id24.html). Now it's good enough that I can listen quite happily even cruising at motorway speeds wink with very little interferance on most stations. Not quite as good as my other (mass produced German) car, but definately more than good enough - aerial is now amplified and in the boot... Worth every penny of the £25 kit cost and the cost of getting someone to fit it for me.
