Just want to check something. When you buy a brand new Audi, how long do you get Audi Assist for and how much is it when this agreement comes to an end to extend ?

Thanks

3 years or 60,000 miles, same as the warranty. I think Audi just chop the service out to any handy recovery man - be that AA, RAC, green flag, Bob and his handy trailer...

It was managed by the RAC. I had them out to my new A6 when it was 4 days old and had total break down. They said 20 mins and it took them 4 hours to arrive, i was not pleased.

Total rubbish!

RAC 3 year full recovery smile
Some even give full European cover which mine does.
Contact the RAC to confirm which cover you have

When I got mine it was 3 years as long as you got it serviced to schedule at a main dealer. My wife and I have called them out once each and both times they were the dedicated Audi people (although they may be employed by others). Good knowledgeable people too.

3years/60k as mentioned, I called Audi assist a couple of times the guy in an 'Audi Assist' allroad was prompt, knowledgeable and helpful, infact better than the dealer IMO.

Last one I had dropped in turned up on the back of a generic looking recovery truck; do the RAC ever run out of their own lot?

But isn't his day job at the dealer? I thought the guys in the all roads worked out of main dealers and rotated the "on call" bit around the technicians in the workshop?

Audi have ADTs - Audi Dedicated Technicians - typically Audi Master Techs - the guys you see running round in the silver diesel Allroads... of course, there are only so many of them, so you're quite likely to see an RAC man instead smile

If I remember they only work Mon to Fri so if you break down at the weekend you will get the RAC.
