Following my post on roll cages, can anyone advise me on a suitable harness for fitting to a Wedge (with a roll cage/bar)?

I presume a 3-point fixing, but Demon Tweaks (whom I used to frequent when rallying a RS2000 (actually a SuperSpeed prototype - must have a 'thing' about prototypes ) only show a 3-point for saloon cars (if I recall correctly, the rear strap won't shorten enough for a sports car), and the 4 and 6 point harnesses don't show whether they are for saloons or sports.

Got exactly the same problem. Tried a Sabelt 3 point harness, which was to long. Then decided to try the Sabelt 4 point and mount the 2 rear to the same point but this was to short by about 8".Decided to leave it until I got the car on the road and then take it down to Demon Tweeks and try to get something that fits. The alternative was to get something that would bridge the gap for the 4 point harness.
I'll post and let you know if I find something.
Regards

Got a nice Willans harness fitted along with my Peninsula roll bar. Peninsula bar goes through the rear bulkhead (not the parcel shelf), so there is plenty of room for attaching the harness.

Apologies for the contents of the picture, but it's the best piccy of the roll bar I could quickly reference!

Streaky,
If your having a bespoke cage fitted you can have a cross car bar (you'd loose use of the parcel shelf though) which would a) add stiffness and side impact protection but b) would enable a 4 point harnesses shoulder straps to be wrapped round it as per the WRC items.

I'm afraid the piccy doesn't show up, so I can't comment on the quality Looking at the insert, it appears to be a link to your C: drive - Streaky

Did the ears come with the roll bar? And how much did being photographed wearing them raise for charity

The 520 which strated off with the Tower View Roll bar and now has a full cage in it took Willans four point harnesses. Currently using Luke ones as the belts are wider and just that bit more comfortable.

I would strongly advice the Tower View reinforced seat mounts so that you have some metal to keep the seats in place if you are that concerned with safety.
